KILTS
Our kilts are hand made to your specific measurements, from heavy weight 16oz Strome kilt cloth, using 8 yards of cloth to achieve that all important traditional swing to the kilt.

As part of your kilt package we offer adjustable garters with the flashes made in the tartan to match your kilt.

We offer the 3 Cornish district tartans for our hand made to measure kilts, and they are as follows:-

Cornish National
Each colour in the National Tartan has a special meaning:
White on Black for St. Pirans Banner (The Patron Saint of Tinners), black and Gold were the colours of the ancient Cornish kings, red is for the beak and legs of the Chough, the Cornish National bird, and finally the light blue is for the sea surrounding Cornwall. This tartan is unmistakably Cornish, even becoming instantly recognizable by many of our Scottish cousins.

Cornish Hunting
The Hunting Tartan incorporates all the colours of the original National Tartan but with a dark green background. However the blue of the sea becomes the Royal Blue, which together with the Gold were the colours of the Cornish Wrestlers. A subtler tartan for quieter folks!

St Piran Dress
Predominantly featuring the St Piran flag with the familiar dress background colour of Ecru, this tartan also has fine bands of red and dark green, combining to create a crisp and very formal kilt.

Our Barathea Jackets and Waistcoats are provided with Cornish tin buttons that have been produced using tin drawn from the famous South Crofty mine, Cornwall's last working tin mine until its closure in 1998. CORNISH DAY WEAR SPORRAN
Exclusively designed and hand crafted in Cornwall, our Sporran is made from good quality black leather and features the Cornish shield surrounds by a Celtic knot work design. Your sporran will come complete with chain straps. Other Celtic leather goods are available on our accessories page.

CORNISH KILT PINS
Made exclusively for Cornovi by St Justin of Cornwall, these Pewter kilt pins represent different regions of the County, however if you have no specific allegiance to an area then it is just a question of your favourite design! More St Justin jewellery is available on our accessories page.
From left to right:

The Lanivet pin (Bodmin area): Geographically the centre point of Cornwall, Lanivet was a popular stopping place for pilgrims crossing Cornwall. In the ancient churchyard can be found the 11th/ 12th Century coped stone from which the design for this pin originates.

The Sancreed pin (Penzance area): The Sancreed cross stands by the south door of Sancreed church, 4 miles west of Penzance. Featuring four Stafford knots and a dragon head with serpentine body, it is one of only 2 known zoomorphic interlaced designs on crosses in Cornwall.

The St Mylor pin (Falmouth area): Based upon the tallest cross in Cornwall, this pins design had its origins in pagan worship; however with the establishment of Christianity, the stone was carved into the familiar irregular cross that can be seen in the St Mylor churchyard today.

Traditional leather kilt belt hand made by local craftsman, available with a choice of St Justin pewter buckles. One buckle features the Cornish chough with a St Piran flag, and the other one has a ribbon knot work design.

Available in small, medium and large, the kilt hose are hand linked and manufactured from the highest quality British wool, 20% nylon added to ensure maximum durability and comfort. A choice of colours can be purchased including Ivory, Black, Dark Green and Navy.
